This full-day intensive workshop is designed for Level 3 BSL learners. The first part focuses on linguistics, including verbs and classifier verbs, alongside non-manual features, mouth patterns, handshapes, and use of signing space. The second part focuses on role shift, exploring how body movement, eye gaze, placement, and perspective are used to show different people, actions, and relationships within narratives and conversations.
Throughout the day, you’ll work on applying these features together in continuous signing, with guided practice, tutor input, and supportive feedback. The workshop supports learners in developing clearer, more fluent signing across a range of contexts, including description, storytelling, and interaction.
