FAQs

  • Why is this type of training important for our company?

Hearing loss affects millions of people in the UK, many of whom may be your colleagues or customers—often without your knowledge. Deaf and Hard of Hearing awareness training helps break down barriers, ensuring everyone feels included and understood. By becoming a more Deaf-friendly organisation, your company not only enhances communication and accessibility but also strengthens its reputation within the Deaf community. It’s a meaningful step toward building a more diverse, empowered, and inclusive workplace culture.

  • Is this training suitable for all roles within our organisation?

Yes—if your company values equality and inclusion as part of its culture, then Deaf and Hard of Hearing awareness training is beneficial for everyone. No matter the role, all employees can benefit from understanding the barriers faced by Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals on a deeper level. This awareness empowers staff to communicate more effectively, create a more inclusive environment, and be part of a meaningful shift toward positive, lasting change.

  • Which package should I go for?

All of our training packages offer valuable insight, but for a deeper and more comprehensive understanding, the combined package is highly recommended. It explores a range of barriers faced by both Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals, highlighting the diversity within these communities. Not all Deaf people are the same, and it’s crucial to recognise that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work. The combined package equips your team with the tools and awareness needed to respond appropriately and confidently in real-life work and social situations.

  • Can this training be tailored to our company?

Absolutely! While some core content is essential to every session, we fully recognise the value of making training relevant to your team. Elements of the training can be tailored to reflect the real-life situations your company and staff may face, ensuring it’s practical, engaging, and directly applicable to your workplace environment.
